VR Zombie game

This is my first VR game and is still in very early development. Since buying an Oculus I had always wanted to create my own VR shooter. During development I realised the built in Unity VR toolkit wasn't good enough for what I wanted so I made my own interaction kit called 'StuVR: Guns' and made a game around it.

Features:

Inspired heavily on the Call of Duty zombies games where there's waves of zombies that will chase and attack the player.

I wanted to make the weapons as realistic as possible where the player has to manually load a magazine and cock the gun as well as keeping track of their ammo.

​

There is a weapon crate in the middle of the map which for 1000 points can be bought and it will give you a new weapon. Points can be gained by killing zombies.

​

Zombies ragdoll when killed and by doing this allowed me to easily set damage modifiers to each part of the body i.e. head shots do double damage and arm shots do half etc.

This project is still in development so there are various features I'd like to add such as:

  • Multiplayer

  • More weapons

  • Different enemy types

  • Toolkit improvements

  • various art and sound changes as currently they are all free assets.

And many more. I hope to upload this game to the Oculus store in the near future​
